Film Courage: What screenwriting mistakes have you made in your earlier work that you’ve corrected?
Geoff Ryan, Writer/Director: So many mistakes in my earlier work. The biggest one (and it still survives in a short film that I made) was monologues. I used to write some obscenely long pretentious monologues. As you can probably tell I am very opinionated about things, kind of philosophical about things and I put way too much of that into my characters and it was annoying…(Watch the video interview on Youtube here).
